In the past, reading the news did not use to concern me the way it does now.  However, since 2011 we have seen a country almost vanish (Japan), a global financial train wreck, and the steady erosion of civil liberties and democracy in countries that were supposed to be the shining example. Watching the implosion of Europe though is what pushed me over the edge, compelled me to write.

Being furious is not enough. Raising awareness – for myself as well as for those who care to engage with me – is called for.
